When the cool, moist layer touches the skin, it gently lowers surface temperature. The body reacts instantly by increasing local circulation — sending warm, nutrient-rich blood to the area. This natural “cool-then-warm” cycle eases pain, reduces tension and supports healthier tissue recovery.

Drug-free. Reusable. No electricity — just water and your body’s natural response.

Use HydroCure Wrap® whenever someone at home needs natural relief:

  • soothing sore throats, tonsillitis and tight chests at night

Frequently Asked Questions

The Priessnitz method is a traditional hydrotherapy approach using a cool, moist inner layer covered by a dry insulating outer layer. This creates a gentle cooling-then-warming response in the body and is the historical method behind HydroCure Wraps®.

Vasoconstriction

Vasoconstriction icon

Initial cold application causes blood vessels to constrict, helping calm the area.

HydroCure Wraps® are designed to support the body’s natural recovery — gently, safely and without medication.

Natural Self-Healing

Uses only cool water, breathable fabric and the body’s own response – no electricity, no drugs.

Acute condition – short & frequent: wear the wrap for up to 20 minutes at a time.

Chronic condition – longer sessions: for long-standing issues, leave the wrap on for 2–3 hours.

Always use common sense and discontinue if the wrap feels uncomfortable.

Priessnitz wrap science

The Priessnitz wrap is based on well-understood physiological principles: an initial cooling of the skin followed by a natural warming response.

This “cool–then–warm” cycle affects local circulation — first reducing blood flow, then increasing it — which is associated with supporting tissue recovery and helping regulate inflammation.

Research on hydrotherapy and contrast temperature methods suggests that structured temperature application may improve comfort and support recovery compared to cold alone.

HydroCure Wraps® bring this traditional method into modern use, combining historical spa knowledge with current understanding of how the body responds to temperature.

HydroCure Wraps® are commonly used for sore throats, tonsillitis, chest congestion, period cramps, arthritis, swollen joints, sinus pressure, migraines, earache, back tension and everyday overuse discomfort.

Yes, many families use HydroCure Wraps® for children, especially for sore throats, coughs or growing pains. The wraps are made from certified materials and are suitable for use from 0–3 years, in accordance with EU standards. Developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic, they follow established European safety requirements. The wrap should always feel comfortable, never too tight, and children should be supervised by an adult.

No. A hot water bottle provides only heat, and an ice pack only intense cold. HydroCure Wrap® works differently — it begins with gentle cooling, followed by the body’s own natural warmth. This creates a more balanced, comfortable effect that many people find easier to use and keep in place.

Use cool tap water. Use cool water, typically around 8–16°C (46–60°F). For children, a milder temperature (around 22°C / 71°F) is usually more suitable. The wrap should feel refreshing rather than uncomfortable. Some people prefer a stronger cooling effect, while others respond better to gentler temperatures. The key is to choose a temperature that feels comfortable and allows the body to naturally warm the area over time.

Some people use HydroCure Wraps® overnight, especially chest or throat wraps. The wrap should be comfortably fitted and not restrict movement or breathing.

Yes. HydroCure Wraps® are reusable. Many customers also keep extra inner inserts so they can change them easily and keep the wrap fresh and hygienic.

Do not use the wrap on broken skin or if the area feels unusually sensitive to cold. Stop use if discomfort occurs. For persistent or severe symptoms, seek professional advice.
